Five years ago, Chris reached out to Rhys after reading a Bitcoin story he’d written for a local paper in Wales. What began as a single message turned into a friendship shaped by countless conversations about the future of Bitcoin. Together, they went on to create a beginner-friendly course to help the crypto-curious understand its fundamentals.
With more than a decade of combined experience in Bitcoin and e-commerce, they decided it was time to build something tangible — and HODL Tag was born.

Chris Colston
Chris discovered Bitcoin in 2020 and quickly immersed himself in the community, attending global events such as Bitcoin 2022 and 2023 in Miami, as well as the Advancing Bitcoin Developer Conference in London. Fascinated by both the philosophy and the technology behind the protocol, he deepened his understanding of how Bitcoin truly works. Having previously collaborated with Rhys on earlier projects, he was eager to co-create a Bitcoin e-commerce brand that celebrates milestones in a meaningful, Bitcoin-led way.
